The Rides

Each organized ride is a loop ride approx 60 miles long

Each of the rides are very scenic, with beautiful destinations. One of the most beautiful rivers in the United States, The St. Joe River, will be your base camp. And the you will enjoy the unforgettable scenery of the mountains of the

St. Joe National Forest. You will ride along pristine creeks and streams, visit old growth forests and be in awe at the incredible views from mountain tops.

The area is full of western history.  Railroad, timber industry and mining history are all in this area. You can visit many historical locations, like the historic train depot, old sawmills, splash dams, steam donkeys, trestles, tunnels and more.  On two rides you will follow the old trackways of the "turn of the last century" Milwaukee Road Trains, see the way logging was done over 100 years ago and can even visit an old mine.

All of the organized rides are for all widths of machines!

There are thousands of miles of back country roads and trails for you to ride in this area. Most are old logging roads or where the train tracks have been removed and are for all widths of machines.  But, if you have a 50 inch trail machine or a dirt bike, we will be happy to supply you with a U.S. Forest Service Motorized Map so you can enjoy those trails too.

Pictured below is a historic photo of the old Milwaukee Road train along the St. Joe River

Come Ride!

And enjoy all the beauty and history of this incredible area!

We are still working diligently to set all of the rides, entertainment and food for the event.

We will be working with the U.S. Forest Service, The Avery Citizens Committee and our volunteers, to add more fun activities to The River To Rails Jamboree.

Hope you can join us!
